The plastic is Nylon fibre reinforced. The surface feels smooth, yet it is mechanically rigid and provides fantastic resonance control properties.
HB Labs Transparent Plastic Pins Head is broadly used for production of bulletproof shields, it is very tough and provides lowest possible vibration properties, the heat self-ignition is 550℃ and very low dielectric of 3, this ensures a very minimal interference between the conductors and EMI/RFI.
The Female Contact Pins are closer to the front, providing a tight grip to equipment male pins. This guarantees a better contact area and the IEC will not hang loose or easily get pulled out by a heavy mains cable (special supporting device not required). Pins contact material is Pure Copper (Cu remains 2nd best conductive element), hand polished and beautifully plated.
